Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LedgerWallet at useledger.net (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The Service

LedgerWallet helps households track spending, plan bills, set habits and goals, and review coaching-style insights. Features may include statement uploads (CSV/PDF), optional bank sync via Plaid, household sharing, and a paid Pro plan.

The Service is a personal finance tool. It is not a bank, broker, tax advisor, or licensed financial advisor.

Accounts

• You must provide a valid email and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account, including household members you invite.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13 years old).
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

Subscriptions & billing

LedgerWallet offers a free tier with limited features and LedgerWallet Pro for $7.99 USD / month (price may change with notice). Pro unlocks premium features such as uploads, bank connect, bills, habits, coaching tools, and related dashboard tabs described in the product.

• Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
• By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
• You can manage or cancel billing through the Stripe customer portal (linked from Subscribe / Settings when available).
• Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly offered by us.

Bank connections & uploads

If you connect an institution through Plaid or upload statements, you represent that you have the right to share that financial information with us for your use of the Service. You can disconnect bank links in the app. Accuracy of imported data depends on your files and third-party providers; you should review categorized transactions.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
• Attempt to access another user’s data without authorization
• Probe, scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the Service except as allowed by law
• Upload malware or content you do not have rights to share
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

Not financial advice

Coaching copy, savings targets (including any ~20% savings framing), grades, insights, and reminders are informational only. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You remain solely responsible for your money decisions. Consult a qualified professional for advice tailored to your situation.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by LedgerWallet or its licensors. You retain rights to the content and financial data you submit. You grant us a limited license to host and process that data solely to operate the Service for you.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free imports, or any particular financial outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LedgerWallet and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by emailing us. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers and limitations) will survive.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version at useledger.net/terms with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
